It was a kid's choice tonight since it's her birthday. She wanted nachos... and a DQ ice cream cake :D

Baked chicken'n'cheese with veggies (in foil), quick bread, and lemon pudding cake for dessert. The girls have been cooking up a storm in the kitchen. My daughter is much more patient about having the girls help her in the kitchen than I am.

I have no idea yet myself...I'm not usually the one who makes it. (Also, I'd have to post later in the day. We're eating a second/late lunch, as is our custom here. We don't eat dinner until somewhere around 9 p.m. EST.)

veggie patties, steamed kale, brussels sprouts with olive oil, grape tomatoes with garlic and thyme, frozen banana yogurt with flaxseed and a few strawberries later when I inevitably get the munchies before bed.
I'm in virtuous mode, it's spring...

Shrimp in a lemon-butter-garlic-red pepper sauce over wild rice.

Toss up between salmon with wild rice ( made the salmon the other day, need to cook the rice) and pot roast with carrots and potatoes, ( my husband made this last night, but finished it too late to have.

I think as I type it might be the salmon.....still at the office, here too late and will miss my class :(

WW spag and home made low sodium sauce with very little pieces of 5 year old Cheddar and LOTS of chilis.
Have already eaten 2 salads today.
Did I forget to mention wine?!

Hey...............biscuits seem to be an American thing. I see them served with everything on the Food Network. Is there a special recipe or are they simply like what we'd call tea biscuits?

I think tea biscuits are hard, yes? southern biscuits are soft. Very fattening.

Tea biscuits can be a tad dry and crumbly. ( Probably British.....no offense to anyone please ; you'd have to know my family......NOT )

( no hormones ) ... and pesto , with green onions ,
and feta cheese...

Dark chocolate cookie , with cranberries , for dessert...

Just about any form of potato soup is my thang LOL. I make it often but change it up a bit.

Well, should have been partridge with potatoes, swede and cauliflower followed by pears and custard.

I only made it to the pears and custard bit so far, but I did eat some crisps prior to that.

Just lost all sense of time today.

A weird type of curried chicken done with lemon grass, curry leaves, cardamon , hot chilies , fresh garlic, tamari and OJ. To be served with left over spaghetti ali oili and broccoli.
And wine.
Can you tell I'm eating alone?!

I've actually been hungry for a tuna sandwich.

Don't know what's for dinner tonight. Maybe leftovers. Spagetti casserole from last night and cranberry-chicken rice from the night before - eater's choice.

I'm thinking that's what we'll be doing here tomorrow. Especially if there are leftovers after tonight's dinner. There will be plenty in the fridge for a big free-for-all :D

Durn right! I hate to waste so we do these free-for-all's rather often. Either that or I get creative with the leftovers to turn them into something else.
