I'm afraid I cannot possibly stop reading now, not after reading the first two books. I have to say that it's dragging a bit now, but I WILL get to the end.

I empathize completely with that one. I kept thinking it had to get better didn't it? Alas, I was wrong. However a friend of mine really liked it, or at least didn't hate it as much. However we both agreed on the Wheel of Tedium.

Actually if I remember correctly you can probably skip Part One as exactly the same thing happens there as in the Stone of Farewell and for the most part the first half of GAT part 2.

The Encyclopedia of Magic and Alchemy by Rosemary Eilleen Guilley
The Encyclopedia of Ghosts and Spirts by same author.

Know it sounds silly but I sometimes enjoy these kinds of reference works with concise entries on subjects from lore, myth and the occultic lore. Quite a nice way to expand occult lore in general and have an idea on where to do some further research, some nice biographical entries of some of the famous magicians. And I always love a good ghost story and other spirit lore, including fairy lore. So I enjoy these books very much.

The outline to a book I'm writing... I am not smiling.

I am displeased with it.

Actually I joined a local book club. I'm reading "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop who ran away from the FLDS with her 8 children. FLDS - Fundalmentalist Church of the Latter Day Saints. (Good heavens - I have trouble keeping track of only 2 kids)
