Occult, mystical and spiritual books here of course, but anything you're enjoying in other topics too.
Right now I am reading: The Apprentice: My Life in the Kitchen by Jacques Pepin (it's wonderful even if you're not a foodie) Brideshead Revisited, I've read it years ago and it's one of those books that always cheers me up, so hence the revisit The Isle of Avalon by Nicholas Mann A biography of Canadian painter Emily Carr, by Doris Shadbolt (I've been fascinated by Carr for two decades) Assorted books on death, grieving and the afterlife, I have a selection by the bed and read excerpts from whatever I feel like at the time - Thich Naht Hahn, John O'Donohue, Kubler-Ross, Steve Levine. Moral support more than entertainment, no question. And I am *trying* to get through the incredible Merle's Door, whihc was a birthday present from a friend, but it's perhaps too soon to try. Beautifully written and I plan to investigate Kerasote's other books, but the subject matter is just a bit much right now: http://www.kerasote.com/ And you? sera |

What am I Not reading should be the question.
See, a few months ago I thought it would be fun and games to take on a Student task and oath with A.'.A.'., but to my chagrin I was assigned a neophyte that is a professor at Copenhagen. A philosophy professor. My student test is so far over my head I'm having to study everything I had previously read over and over again. Plus, with the pure fact that I'm sending these tests to a prof, I feel like I have to do a dissertation to even lend myself some credit. So, I'm reading the entire Student reading list- over and over. That entails about 20 books, plus everything else. I haven't picked up anything for light reading for about a year now. |

I'm about to start reading "Weaveworld" by Clive Barker, for the second time. It's been since HS and I adored the story so much, it's about time for another go.

"Hypnotic Realities" by Rossi and Erickson.
"Beelzebub's Tales to his Grandson" by Gurdjieff. "Tao of Chaos" by Katya Walter. And a friend just lent me a book called "Expecting Adam" by Martha Beck. |

I am constantly in possession of Magick, Book 4, by Crowley. It's my constant companion. I guess I'm fanatical. That's what I'm reading now, and I've been reading and re-reading it for almost a year now.
I haven't picked up a fictional book in a while, the last fiction book I read (that I remember) was From a Buick 8, by Stephen King. I tried to enjoy it, as I used to be quite the fan, but Stephen King doesn't even seem to be trying anymore since the Gunslinger series. |

Noooooo!!!!!!! Put it down and walk away. Save your eyes the 1800 pages of repetitous drivel. I literally threw the book across the room with about 50 pages left I was so pissed. The last 50 pages took a great force of will to slog through.
Speaking of - Finally got Sandworms of Dune and burning through it quickly. |
