Wishing everyone a safe, healthy and beautiful Beltane. It is pouring rain here in the Gatineau Hills, but the first buds of spring are starting - always the elder first - and I cannot wait for flowers and green and birdsong, after such a long strange winter.

On Saturday, I took a trash bag outside and cleaned up all the trash that had accumulated in our yard over the winter. Our area's usual Earth Day river cleanup was canceled, and Beltane felt like a good Earth cleanup day. Mostly I just spent a lot of time outside feeling grateful for the sunlight.
