Well as many of you may or may not if you were living under a rock. An African-American man named George Floyd was murder by a racist white police officer and the result of his murder was rioting, looting and vandalizing. My people (black people) has put up with racism since slavery times and nothing has changed. We're sick and tired of white police officers murdered unarmed black man. I almost lost a friend on another forum because she disagreed with me and she's white by the way saying that I'm not being fair and believe that America isn't racist. Well, I'm being fair here and yes America is racist. We're friends again and I still stand by what I said. So what do you think about this topic? Any thoughts on that?

I have many thoughts on it, but the short version is, if your friend doesn't recognize the racism inherent in the system she's blinded herself to it. I don't know how to change people's minds, but I hope the current revolution will have some good effect. This world is so crazy and I often feel overwhelmed and powerless, but it is heartening to see so much protest and such a powerful call for change.
Hopefully in November, America can start to heal.
