I would celebrate Midsummer, but I'm not going to have one until next year?
This is how my year will look:
Samhain, Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Yule, Imbolc, Mabon...

For the N. Hemisphere's summer i'm going to S. America where it will be winter. It's one of those years again.

The only "holiday" I tend to celebrate is Samhain...so I don't have Midsummer plans.

I'm doing a solitary ritual in the early morning when it's quiet, peaceful and I can have some privacy. After that I'm taking my daughter to the park with a friend to play in the sunshine. We fully intend to wear solar colors. :-)

My kids are all going to a midsummer party this evening where they will have a bonfire tonight and then stay up all night and watch the sunrise with a big group of friends at this beautiful farm out in the country (my stepson's girlfriend's place). I don't know if they are pagan or not but they sure do a lot of these types of things and they are some pretty open minded people.

As for me, summer is my least favorite season. I will keep things quiet and personal with a midsummer prayer and some quiet time of reflection. I appreciate so much the change in seasons but like I said... summer just isn't up there as a favorite for me.

I love midsummer Its my favourite time. Last year was amazing my partner and I walked the dog along our favourite fields to watch the long and heavy sunset. I picked some gorgeous wild sweetpeas and we sat in the cool grass watching the sunset. It was one of those moments you know you'll remember for the your life.

This year, weather permitting, we are doing the same only we are taking a little picnic with us and some special homemade elderflower wine made with the flowers we picked there this time last year Its such an exciting time of year. The ears of corn are just starting to turn into gold and the fields are scattered with dashes of red poppies.

xx
