Default I'm not sure what to think....

..so I thought I'd share and see what YOU feel about this.

https://www.lovewitch.com/

My initial reaction was, ok, horror, lol. As a traditional Witch and someone who's put in a fair bit of time, shall we say, on my practise, I find this silly, superficial and nothing like what I consider"real withchcraft".

And then I wonder if I'm being snobby...I mean, she's making a mint, self-empowered..maybe not what I call "authentic", but....?

Looking forward to your thoughts...Satyr77, Brigidrose, Monsno, SunSister...Al...Sollie... everybody...

The Frost's had to take out all the selling of one's love and sex out of their books didn't they? I mean even the free love of the late 60's and self love that showed up in the books of that era pretty much disappeared from the content of reissued books.

Yet that seem's to be the main focus of her site. Well that and Burlesque and associated fantasy molds of women in that genre. Yet does that actually empower women? Corsets and such are a thing for certain but they seem to fall into two main categories. The Dita Von Tess exotic & burlesque genre that is more fantasy eye candy and the S&M market. Neither of which really seems to be exceptionally empowering of women IMHO. I mean yeah some are famous but it's still a meat market.

Yet burlesque really pushes the idea of false or plastic beauty over natural beauty. So she is going to teach body confidence, sensuality and your work.

But then they also say if there is a niche someone will come along and fill it. Evidently she found such a niche and is filling it.

The only real horror I really see was her pink on pink text on the workshops pages.. I kid, I kid lol.

I read through her diary, it's not that bad. I think it's a bit melodramatic in it's message but at it's core it's meant to be helpful and inspiring. I didn't notice any huge red flags in terms of advanced magic being preached, or suspicious business practices.

It looks like she's a burlesque dancer who also aims to create a spiritual community for other creatives, and is going about it in her own little way. I personally roll my eyes at her delivery, but I'm sure she's attempting to help (and could possibly be helping) other people.

When it comes to the business side, I think she's being as authentic as anyone can when attempting to make a living doing what they love.

I was going to type that I see nothing wrong with it, but then my eyes landed on the 'divination love spell bottle' that's being sold for a whopping 45 dollars and I wanted to tear my hair out instead. I'm also.. wary of the 'coven'-thing she's got going. While the prices in the workshop section seem very fair, I'm just not sure if her tone fits the work she's promoting. It feels a little put-upon to me, like she purposefully adopted certain words and phrases in order to appeal to the general non-discerning crowd.

That said, I do like her blogposts and the overall way she chose to present herself. It's rare to see a burlesque dancer focus on matters of the spirit and I think it's really cool that she's helping people feel empowered in turn. I think this may be a classic case of "like the practitioner, dislike the method" for me.

I don't know...I might take her Boss Witch course :P
Just kidding...
I'm sorry, after Mara's classes this is just a bit gimmicky for me. ( more than a bit) I can't take it seriously.
She reminds me of Elvira.
