Default Sollie's Photography

So I was going to post an album but it really wasn't working, so I just will share here.

Just a few different photos of mine.

Thank you!

Well, I cut my teeth on concert/band photography. I like event photography, but I really love portraiture (especially kids and animals). I haven't found one that I'm super drawn to yet, I like the variety, but business wise I focus on portraiture and event.

Personally the last one has the most power for me.What was your inspiration, it looks to me like defiance of death? but with some rage at life itself too, in there.

Thank you! That's one of my favorite sessions.

This was for a class assignment. They basically wanted the theme to be featured around Halloween, since that was when it was due. So costumed, attitude, gothic imagery, etc. This is Max, and his mom dressed as an angel. So basically I approached it as an "Angel and Demon" dichotomy. He's unhappy he's dead, he's looking to spread chaos and trouble. This particular image I wanted something that would work for a CD or book cover, I believe was my thought process.

Fantastic. And so poignant the woman whose grave is featured in the top one, was 35 when she died. I think that one might be my favorite. <3
