Leslie i am still swamped with catch-up and I work mostly (90%) with local plants, but do google banaba for more on what this species can offer medicinally.
It doesn't grow here but it is, really really pretty.

Roses if you're willing to deal with the thorns. I have a couple of the type that take care of themselves - no pruning required and disease resistant - the 3 year old bush is around 6 feet tall. You can prune them if you want a specific shape, but I let mine go wild. Very lovely smell too.

Fascinating! Not something I could use but I could see it's use for dogs as well as humans. Wonder if it might help diabetic pups?
