Default Transphobia

Why is there's still transphobia in today's modern society?

You tell us, BMH, you seemed pretty transphobic in that thread about dating ...

I'm not transphobic. I just find it weird to date a transgender that's all.

That's like saying "I'm not racist. I just find it weird to date a black."

Well it's true. It's not my fault that transgenders have a deceiving lifestyle. It's just like cheating with your love ones.

^ This is why there is still transphobia in our modern society. The very fact that you cannot see your own attitude as being transphobic (i.e. by generalizing an assumption that if a person is transgender they are automatically leading a deceptive lifestyle) shows what a serious problem it is.

Ok first off transgenders should always tell the truth who they used to be before they have their sex change transition. If the person that dating accepted it they're good to go and they'll continue a happy relationship. If not, they broke up the relationship and go their separate ways. Which 50% of the transgender community usually lie to their date faces about their former gender.

A person doesn't actually have to tell you anything. You yourself said that you wouldn't tell your date about your mental health issues at first, but how is that different? Shouldn't you tell them everything? If you're not being consistent with the standards you hold other people to, you are being a hypocrite.

That's different under extreme circumstances.
