Default Full Moon Ritual Oil

MAGIC FULL MOON OIL

13 drops of sandalwood essential oil 9 drops of vanilla essential oil or extract
3 drops of jasmine essential oil 1 drop of rose essential oil
Mix prior to a full moon. Charge in a clear container or vial in the light of the full moon.
Use to anoint candles or yourself for full moon rituals or just when you feel like you need
the moons energy.

I love to use various gems, shells, pieces of whole dried herb, small bits of silver jewelery (like a tiny crescent moon earring) or a totem animal made from gemstones, depending on the oil. We're only limited by our imagination...

when possible i use a tealight candle. they fit perfectly on top of a babyfood jar. the foil seals it well and you can fill the bottle with items so its like a little charm jar for your candle. ive used them for casting circles and put items that represent the elements. I love creativity part of magic!

Full Moon is this Friday here, or July 15th for my UK friends....
Anyone doing anything special?
It is a Wort Moon:

Ritual for the Wort Moon Esbat

Preparation Suggestions:

Perform on the Full Wort Moon of July (Leo)

*Drawing the Moon Ritual
*Circle Casting Ritual
*Grounding & Centering
*Moon Bath Ritual
*Goddess Statue
*1 White Pillar Candle

While the Sabbats are devotional and celebratory times determined by the sun, the Esbats are determined by the phases of the moon during which time the Goddess transforms between her three aspects: Maiden Mother and Crone.

The Esbats, being celebrated on the Full Moon, represent the Goddess in her Mother aspect and thus her greatest point of creation and potentiality.

Throughout the year, there are 13 Full Moons and the energy invoked with each one is different from all the others.

The Wort Moon is the Full Moon seen in July, and it represents the
connection between the Moon"s energy and the courageous Leo.

The Wort Moon should reflect in your ritual the fiery charismatic and protective energy that Leo displays throughout it"s ascent through the heavens. Use the Wort Moon"s fiery energy to turn situations around and to facilitate preparations for harvest.

Before casting your Circle, perform a Moon Bath Ritual or other purification bath.
Open the Ritual by lighting a white PILLAR candle that you use only for Goddess invocations. Recite a greeting to the Goddess:

Perform the Lunar Drawing Ritual.
Call the Moon by name and guide it"s energy towards some goal that you made for yourself on the New Moon:

Perform any additional rituals or spells that you have planned, but keep in mind the kind of energy you have invoked by calling on the Wort Moon. This is energy for protection and beginning the difficult task of the Harvest.
If you have any difficult deeds already in progress that you need to tend to, then this energy is perfect, however if you are looking to begin new projects, then you might want to simply perform a Full Moon Ritual instead of the Esbat Ritual.

Remember you can perform a Full Moon and an Esbat
Ritual during the same month because the Full Moon"s energy lasts from 3 days before the full moon until the official point of the Full Moon. Just make sure to perform these two rituals on different nights.

Awesome, thank you everyone

I would add that it is perhaps useful to meditate on Yesod if such are your tendencies

Okay, this is probably not the appropriate place to ask this, and I apologize in advance. If you have a more appropriate place, please simply direct me to it.

My supplier of essential oils has gone out of business, and I'm almost out of sandalwood. Does anyone know of a reputable online supplier? (Preferably one that doesn't gouge the pocket too severely.)

And, thank you to everyone for the insights provided in this thread. I do appreciate them, even if I got a little side-tracked when I realized, "Hey, they use it! Where do they get theirs?" I use sandalwood for everything, even other scented oils, because it makes such a lovely, calming base.
