Wow. I can almost smell it, just reading the ingredients! It sounds like something I would want to smell on the regular! I'm gonna add it to my recipes notebook. Thanks!

I'm a Massage Therapist, so I use this site (go figure!). They have pretty good prices, from the little bit of comparison shopping I've done. Sandalwood seems to be one of the more pricey ones though.

I order most of mine from www.mountainrose.com

Last night I combined a rose-almond oil I made earlier this summer (enfleurage method) with some of my garden mugwort and cedar, and added three drops of Pomegranate oil. Used it for self anointing and candles. A subtle scent but full of magic.

*bump*

Full moon tonight here - a brief, tantalizing glimpse through heavy cloud - now rain.. But as I am 'ahead' of many of you, time wise, thought I might bump some old Moon Threads, to see if anyone has further to offer on them :-)

Last year I macerated rose petals in almond oil - an arduous process called enfleurage, except I used vegetable oils, strained and changed the petals daily or every two days, and eventually obtained a lightly scented rose oil. I use it as the base for Moon oil right now - added a sprig of atermisia, a sliver of moonstone, and a drop of jasmine or three. I'm working on a new recipe, this one was magical allright but hard to do...the next batch I will try something else.

Has anyone here been making any ritual oil? I must confess, I haven't made any kind of blend for ages...

I just placed a good-sized order (Eden Botanicals) and got a lovely bunch of samples as bonus - am working more now with EOs than I have been for a bit. I find using the same scent in ritual over time helps me access the Inner Planes very readily, so I use them as triggers, rather then switching them up. I'm experimenting mostly with perfume blends...working on a Medicine Woman blend, a FLidais blend and an Avalonian one. All in progress, I wish I had time to devote to a course like Floracopeia has on offer.

I love coming back to this thread - and give that we have a full moon and a Solstice coming up so close together, I thought I would *bump* it again to give people some time to gather supplies.
