Default a non-annoying meditation voice?

So my husband finally agrees that meditation might do some good for him, after having a few panicky stress episodes lately.

I was searching the net for free guided mediation, and found a few good ones. He would have to start with really short ones, as he is incapable of meditating for more than 5 minutes without getting irritated.

The thing is that he finds most meditation voices annoying, he hates fluffy new-agey dreamy sweet soft voices, if you know what I mean. What would work best would be a no-nonsense guy giving simple instructions.

Does anyone here perhaps have an idea where to look?

He should just find a 'script' or directions he finds useful -- either online or you could help him write out directions for relaxation/meditation that are meaningful for him personally -- and he could record them in his OWN voice, as if he were speaking to his own unconscious mind. Or perhaps your voice? Then, just play some nice music in the background that he finds relaxing.

Hmm, that might actually work. I think he could record with his phone. Thanks, I will put this idea forward

Um, meditation voices are SUPPOSED to be annoying so that you eventually tune them out. If you can't attain enlightenment while hearing Gilbert Godfrey guiding you through some stupid visualization and breathing exercises, you've got problems.
